Hey all!
I've had word from our compatriots in Napier that they're putting on a Tournament in May 2012 and are foolishly opening the doors to the unwashed masses from the rest of the NZ WarmaHordes gaming community..
What: 25 point highlander format (1 Caster/Lock, 1unit +UA, 1Jack/Beast, 1 Solo remaining points spent on Jacks/Beasts but cannot repeat types so no 2 Defender Cygnar lists!)
When: 19th & 20th May
Cost: $30 Includes Saturday night BBQ at the backpackers :)
I believe it will be a Steamroller2012 event.

ReplyDeletewe have 15 warmahordes players here in the Bay, and by May we should be up to good speed.
I can be contacted by email michael.jk@xtra.co.nz . Drop me a line, we will be taking registrations in the new year.
We will game all day saturday and finish mid afternoon sunday for travellers.
I will post the accommodation rates for the Toad hall backpackers which are in town and close to bars, hot pools etc. They are offering us group booking rates.
On the saturday night, early evening we will have a bbq on the top deck, followed by a warmahordes team trivia comp.
After that you can sit back and relax with a further ale or two, or drift into town, 2min away.
I will post more details on the comp in the new year, with a short narrative and whats up for grabs.

This is going to be sooo SWEET! After all the travelling Dirty Harry has been doing to our tourneys, its the least we can do to rock up to his. I cant wait to meet the lads!

ReplyDeleteForbidden Temple update - for those who haven't checked out the RHQ link that monticus provided yet, there are a few differences between this and other tourneys that have been run recently that I know a few people haven't picked up on:

single list (It is highlander after all, there can be only one!)

ReplyDeleteNot going to play Khador this time round, although Strakhov keeps giving me the look from the cabinet. Karchev don't dare say nothing..bad karchev, Karchev stay there.
5 spots left, that will take the tourney to 32. with a month to go we are feeling confident on a full house. There is nothing that cant be sorted. 16 tables will fit nicely into the store, in a cordoned off area , even fitted with viewing windows. Now to make the signs "no feeding the geeks"

ReplyDeleteforbidden temple looms upon us. 28 players are feeling confident, next to know forum discussion on 25 pt highlander non character non duplicate lists. Bring your ladders, collosals have not yet arrived and there are some mighty high walls to scale.

ReplyDeletein 7 days time those gallant men that treated their wives so well today on mothers day will be at peace of mind knowing they have deserved their journey to the forbidden temple. They will be entering day 2 , hopefully after scaling the walls of IOS and will be fighting their way to the temple in search of the answer. "There can be only one".
