First up is some the many parts procured from PP's webstore which include those from the plastic warjack kit, Black Ivan, Extreme Juggernaut, Destroyer, Drago, Torch and Behemoth kits.
After a dry fit I decided that the mid-section of the 'jack needed to be extended to 1) add height/mass and 2) provide some seperation between the smaller plastic legs and larger carapace. This was achieved using an aluminium pipe filled with Knead-It and pinned down into the waist.
The final height of the extension was determined and held in place by filling the boiler piece with Knead-It. Next, the legs were slightly repositioned and fixed, and a loin cloth + chest armour left over from my Spriggan were added. The model was then pinned down through some bark onto the base.
The upper carapace and cowl were then fitted followed by some plasticard plates to cover the arm holes.
Followed by the head and necklace. The plastic hands needed to be cut back to allow for the new claws to be fitted on. Torch's arm attachment makes an even more impressive 'armour-piercing' appearance and adds a similar flavour to the original Behemoth with the rockety things on the top.
A few finishing touches with guitar wire piping and the shoulder-mounted bombards:
And here he is with the other hand done and a comparison in size to a plastic Juggernaut. Still to do is put on are the smoke stacks and second Torch attachment which are still coming from PP, an emblem or two and finishing off the base.
It's worked out very nicely I think, and in my humble opinion a vastly better model than the original. Thoughts, ideas, comments and criticism are all appreciated!

Looks very nice bro, heaps of planning and work gone into it so far and I think the end result will be worth it.
ReplyDeleteOnly thing I would have done differently (which is a personal taste thing) is the Bombards on the shoulders, would have mounted them on the body myself.
Looking forward to having it AP my Kraken to death and then becoming a Seether in return :)
That looks awesome!
ReplyDeleteVery nice Josh, can't wait to see it painted as well.....
ReplyDeleteI think you are just thinking how many times can i knock it over with my cannon.
DeleteBe interesting to see that thing in the flesh, I suck at gauging stuff of pictures.
Fantastic work Josh. Can't wait to get hosed by those big meaty AP fists of doom.
