Its not the size that counts?

Pretty armless looking?
After a fairly long break away from WM tourneys (when was Rallypoint?) Im back on the tour bus right in time to Not Go Anywhere cos Call to Arms is in Wellington! Yaaay!

So what better way to return to a game after time away by Playing Something Completely Different and bang in time, Mr Stormwall here gets released.

Ive dabbled in Cygnar before but this time its for real (for now) so Im gonna have to front up and get this guy painted in time for Mid August. Plus the rest of my army unless Jimmy forgets he lent me his Cygnar....

I wanted to jazz that huge base up a bit, and since I had a Warhammer movement tray hanging around from a failed desire to cut my own 50mm bases I thought that might make a fairly nifty courtyard type paved area for Storm-balls-to-the -Wall to be smashing through.

Grand plans to add all sorts of smashed up light jacks strewn over the base gave way to keeping it simple, so I'll just be adding sand, mud and grass from here.
Cheers GW!

Its a pretty cool kit, we'll see how the finished paint job looks. Apply imagination to the below:

So now I just need to actually Practice Playing with the thing and maybe I'll be vaguely prepared for Call To Arms Inglorious Nonvictory. Wellingtonians may spot this at Sean's place on a Tuesday games night. Accepting all challengers except if your surname rhymes with "Larkin''.  :p

See youse at CTA.

  2. hmmm, Stormwall.... how to deal with a Stormwall?? I guess I deal with it the same way I deal with everything. By applying a healthy dose of Deathjack directly to the face :)

  3. Iain - what's your take on the caster synergies?

  4. pHayley should be the best at keeping it alive, but now Im trying to think about who does the most for its offensive capabilities. I need to try it with some snipe casters since it has so many guns. Kraye's guided fire and full tilt also seem very valuable.

    1. European scene seems to be holding that eHaley offers a ton to the Stormwall. The Warjack Bond is always an option if you aren't going the Stormclad route, and Temporal Acceleration offers further offensive support. Deceleration gives you that nice little ARM boost too.

Not to mention eHaley is just baller good anyway

  7. Challenge accepted. If you are at Sean's this Tuesday, I'll take a crack at your stormwall.

Also, Suis don't encourage anybody, anywhere, ever to take eHaley. Just don't.

  8. Looking really sweet Iain. Going to be a meta-changer that's for sure. But nothing that a Bronzeback and a Gladiator cant fix. I guess if you're a Legion player without those you might be in some trouble... :P

  9. Jimmy played an Elephant heavy army the other week that would have reduced it to a full colour printed wreck marker in no time flat if I has fielded it. Dunno how Im gonna stop that.

  10. Awww, hey now, Trumpy and Mr Stampy would love to meet Gen. Stormwallis, they'd all get along fine.
I feel there is a joke about whipping out my trunk and beating you with it in there some where, but I feel it's important to keep it 'G' rated.

  11. G rated shmee rated
Now Iain just got one or are you fielding two. Come to think of it how many thrallies are going to field Colossals? I have already changed a list to try and be the man who can take out two in one round of combat:)
